• ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਧਿਐਨ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੇਖੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਬੁੱਧ ਧਰਮ ਤਰਕ ‘ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਸਹਿਜ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਦਾ ਤੱਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਧਰਮ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ।
• ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਏਕੀਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਭਾਰਤ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਸੱਤਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
  ਸਿੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਣੋ, ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਹੋਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦੋਲਨ ਕਰੋ।
• ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਲਾਭਦਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
• ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਸਰੀਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਦਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
• ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਫੌਜ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹੈ।
• ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਕਿਸ ਲਈ ਲੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ? ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਅਸਮਾਨਤਾ, ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਹੈ।
• ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦੀ ਡਿਗਰੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਾਪਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
• ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਦੁਖੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਰਵ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਆਗੂ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਛੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਲੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਲਈ ਕਾਫੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿ ਜੀਵਨ ਛੋਟਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਅਛੂਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖੀ।
• ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਧਾਰਕ ਜੋ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜਨੇਤਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦਲੇਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
• ਹਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜੋ ਮਿੱਲ ਦੇ ਸਿਧਾਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਵਰਗ ਦੂਜੀ ਜਮਾਤ ‘ਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
• ਜੇਕਰ ਦੱਬੇ-ਕੁਚਲੇ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਵੈ-ਮਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲਈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ, ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣਗੇ।
• ਭਾਰਤੀ ਅੱਜ ਦੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਚਾਰਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਯੰਤਰਿਤ ਹਨ। ਸੰਵਿਧਾਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ, ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਿਆ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਕਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
• ਅਸੀਂ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਾਂ, ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ।
• ਉਦਾਸੀਨਤਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਭੈੜੀ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

• ਬੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੇਰਾਂ ਦੀ।

• ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੋਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਫਲਸਫਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਆਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਸਦੇ ਆਚਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਾਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

  ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਇੱਕ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਛੂਤ-ਛਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਬੇ-ਕੁਚਲੇ ਵਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਜ਼ਬ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸਫਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਆਏ, ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਅਛੂਤ ਅਛੂਤ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ।
