In fact, during an election rally in Amravati, Raj Thackeray appeared angry about the fatwa issued from mosques for votes. He openly warned that Muslims have now started issuing fatwas. We had seen this in the Lok Sabha elections as well. We are still seeing it. Loudspeakers should be removed from all these mosques. If my government is formed, then loudspeakers will not be seen on any mosque. Raj Thackeray is getting the support of his ally party BJP on this statement. Apart from this, he has also got the support of BJP leader Nitesh Rane. Nitesh Rane said that this is not his father’s Pakistan. They cannot play loudspeakers 5 times a day here.

Raj Thackeray’s statement

During the rally in Amravati, Raj Thackeray told the people, ‘Someone had sent me a clip. If there was a screen here, I would have shown it to you. A Muslim Maulana has issued a fatwa. All these Muslims are now issuing fatwa to vote for Congress, Nationalist Congress and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction). The Maulana is saying that everyone should vote together. This kind of fatwa is being issued. Even in the Lok Sabha elections, we saw that they used to go together and we got scattered.’

Further Raj Thackeray said that we had raised the issue of loudspeakers earlier also. I had said that if the loudspeakers are not stopped, my soldiers will play Hanuman Chalisa in front of mosques. That government had registered more than 17000 cases against our Maharashtra Sena soldiers. Thackeray further said, ‘Today I give you my words. If the government is given to Raj Thackeray, you will not find a loudspeaker on a single mosque.’

Nitesh Rane supports Raj Thackeray
BJP leader Nitesh Rane has also supported Raj Thackeray’s statement on installing loudspeakers on mosques. Rane, BJP candidate from Kankavli assembly constituency, said, loudspeakers installed on mosques are illegal and against the High Court order. Not only Raj Thackeray, every Hindu activist is saying the same. Loudspeakers installed on mosques are often played 5 times a day. This is not their father’s Pakistan. They do not come here and play loudspeakers.
