Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana is an effort of the Gujarat government to confer economic empowerment to the women of the state. Under the scheme, interest-free loans up to a sum of Rs 1 lakh will be endorsed to the women associated with the Self Help Groups. The scheme, primarily, focuses on generating more livelihood prospects and be self-supporting. A budget of Rs. 193 crores were set aside for the scheme in the state budget 2020-21. Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana features

1. Beneficiaries under the scheme – The women belonging to poor sections and are unemployed are eligible to register
2. Main purpose for scheme launch – The main idea for scheme launch is to help women get better financial help and involve in the Joint Liability Earnings and Savings Group
3. Financial institutes involved in scheme – The government Banks, Cooperative Banks, Private Banks, and other Lending Institutionswill lend up to rupees 1 lakh for zero interest after which a nominal rate charges will be imposed
4. Departments to launch schemes in rural and urban Gujarat – The scheme in rural areas will be implemented by Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Ltd. and by Gujarat Urban Development Mission in urban places.
5. Number of groups to be covered up by scheme – The scheme will cover up for almost 60,000 JLESG groups in the rural areas along with 50,000 groups in urban areas for helping the women

Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana Eligibility

• The applying women need to a native of the Gujarat state.
• She has to be an active member of any Self Help Group across the state.
• SHG, the applicant is associated with should have at least 10 members in the group.
• Women should fall in between the age group of 18-60 years.
• Widowed and abandoned women will be prioritized under the scheme.

The women self-help groups can apply online for the scheme via the online portal and get the registration form. They have to enter correct details in the form and they can get access to the form by clicking on the https://mmuy.gujarat.gov.in/.

• First the home page comes up by clicking on the above said portal
• Following this, the applicant has to click on the right link that would direct them to the application form of the scheme
• As the form comes up, you have to fill it up with correct details, however any incorrect information can result in rejection of the form
• After filling up the form, the applicant has to click on the submit option that would complete the registration under the scheme
