India Beat Sri Lanka in 2nd Test ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਟੈਸਟ ਮੈਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਨੂੰ 238 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਸੀਰੀਜ਼ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਤੀਜੀ ਵਾਰ ਕਲੀਨ ਸਵੀਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾਈ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ 447 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਟੀਮ 208 ਦੌੜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਆਲ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਗਈ।

ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦਿਮੁਥ ਕਰੁਣਾਰਤਨੇ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸੈਂਕੜਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੇ। ਇਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਕਰੁਣਾਰਤਨੇ ਟੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਡਿੱਗ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਕਰੁਣਾਰਤਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ।

ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀਆਂ 447 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਨ ਉਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਚੰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ। ਦੂਜੀ ਪਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਤੀਜੀ ਗੇਂਦ ‘ਤੇ ਸਲਾਮੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਲਾਹਿਰੂ ਥਿਰੀਮਾਨੇ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਬੁਮਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਗੇਂਦ ‘ਤੇ ਐਲਬੀਡਬਲਯੂ ਆਊਟ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਿਕਟ 0 ਦੇ ਸਕੋਰ ‘ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦਿਮੁਥ ਕਰੁਣਾਰਤਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਸਲ ਮੈਂਡਿਸ ਨੇ 97 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਸ਼ਵਿਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 105 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਿਆਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਨੇ 4 ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਗੁਆ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।

ਐਂਜੇਲੋ ਮੈਥਿਊਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਡੇਜਾ ਨੇ 1 ਰਨ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਊਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਧਨੰਜੈ ਡੀ ਸਿਲਵਾ 4 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਅਸ਼ਵਿਨ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਬਣੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੱਲੇਬਾਜ਼ ਟਿਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਿਆ। ਇਕ ਸਿਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਿਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਕਟਾਂ ਡਿੱਗਦੀਆਂ ਰਹੀਆਂ। ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦਿਮੁਥ ਕਰੁਣਾਰਤਨੇ 107 ਦੌੜਾਂ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਬੁਮਰਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਬੋਲਡ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਆਊਟ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਰੁਣਾਰਤਨੇ ਨੇ ਟੈਸਟ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣਾ 14ਵਾਂ ਸੈਂਕੜਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
