Snehaloy Housing Scheme in West Bengal 2021: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a new housing scheme named ‘Snehaloy’, under the purview of which the underprivileged families will be given Rs 1.20 lakh each from the state government to build houses. There is shortage of adequate housing facilities in the state.

The state government has announced Snehaloy Housing Scheme to offer financial assistance to the needy people Under this scheme government is going to provide houses all the candidates who have no roof to hide their heads and difficult, living without houses. The WB Snehaloy Housing Scheme is for those economically backward people who don’t qualify for the state government’s present housing scheme Bangle Awas Yojana.

Key features of Snehaloy Housing Scheme in West Bengal 2021

1. Development of housing facilities – The aim of the state government is to eliminate the housing issues in the region.
2. Permanent homes for poor people – The scheme will enable the poor people to get their permanent homes, at reasonable rates.
3. Scheme sponsored by – The entire expenditure of the scheme operation will be taken care of by the West Bengal government.
4. Financial assistance – The Chief Minister has decided that the beneficiaries will be given Rs. 1.20 lakhs so that they can obtain their new homes.
5. Payment frequency – The state government will offer the grant to the beneficiary in two equal installments.
6. Payment mode – The financial assistance will be provided to the beneficiaries through DBT mode.
7. Beneficiary count – The Chief Minister has stated that after the implementation of this housing project, around 25,000 beneficiaries will get the keys to their new homes.
