पटना से गुवाहाटी जा रही बीकानेर एक्सप्रेस के चार डिब्बे आज शाम पटरी से उतर गए। हादसे में अब तक तीन लोगों के मारे जाने की सूचना है और करीब 100 घायल हुए हैं। पश्चिम बंगाल में जलपाईगुड़ी के दोमोहानी इलाके में शाम करीब पांच बजे यह हादसा हुआ।

हादसा जब हुआ उस समय ट्रेन की रफ्तार 40 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा थी। सूचना के बाद स्थानीय प्रशासन ने मौके पर पहुंचकर राहत एवं बचाव कार्य शुरू कर दिया है। ट्रेन में सवार एक यात्री के अनुसार अचानक झटका लगा और जिसमें वह बैठा था वह डिब्बा पलट गई। उसने बताया कि इसके अलावा तीन से चार की संख्या ट्रेन के डिब्बे पूरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हुए हैं।
